Gluten Free Rice A Roni

  • Approx. ¼ lb gluten free pasta
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 4 tablespoons Frontier Chicken Flavored Broth Powder
  • Approx. ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Approx. ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Simply Organic Garlic N Herb Seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • Approx. 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups water
  1. Break the pasta, I used fettuccine, into small pieces.
  2. Combine all of the seasonings into a bowl.
  3. Melt the butter in a pan, then add the rice and pasta. Stir frequently until it starts browning.
  4. Pour in 2 cups of water and the bowl of seasoning. Bring to a boil.
  5. Lower temp and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
It is absolutely important that you pre-gather the seasoning before beginning or you risk actually burning the rice/pasta before you get a chance to add the water/seasoning. Trust me. I would use any long gluten free pasta you have on hand, for me it's been Goldbaum Gluten Free Fettuccine, I'd love to try this with Angel Hair at some point. Adapted from a recipe by
